Dato’ Seri Ivan Teh is a Malaysian technology entrepreneur, best known as the founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Fusionex, a data technology company he started in 2005. His work centres on analytics, big data and applied artificial intelligence for enterprise and public sector organisations, and he is a frequent speaker on responsible innovation.
Fusionex is a data technology provider specialising in analytics, big data, Industry 4.0, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Its platforms are built to help organisations turn large and often messy datasets into decisions they can act on. Its client base ranges from Fortune 500 and FTSE companies through to small and medium enterprises across Asia Pacific, Europe and North America.
He was named a Technopreneur of Excellence in recognition of ICT best practice, following Fusionex’s Company Excellence Award in 2016. He frames the shift as job transformation rather than job replacement. His argument is that every major technological change has also created new industries, and that the real risk is being unprepared rather than being replaced. His advice to young professionals is direct: do not compete against AI, learn how to work with it.
